The Hush Sound

The Hush Sound is an indie band featuring bandmates Bob Morris, Mike Leblanc, Darren Wilson, and Greta Salpter. One interesting thing about this quartet is that vocals are provided by every member while performing. From Leblanc on base guitar to Morris with lead vocals, all four bandmembers blend their voices to create the haunting sound they are famous for.

Salpter was in 7^th grade and Morris in 10^th when the two met. A classical pianist and a die-hard rocker, the two began writing songs together and building up their music. Soon they added Chris Faller (who left the band in 2008) and Darren Wilson from “Until Sundown”. Initially, they called themselves “The Hush” but due to a rising rapper with the same name, they were forced to add “sound”. Their first CD sold 300 CD’s in two nights without a label.

April 2009, Bob Morris announced that they would all be “on a vacation for a while”. Since then, Salpter has been involved in the band “Gold Hotel”, whilst Morris has joined “Stamps”. The last time the band was together was for a one-time reunion performance in Chicago on December 26, 2010.
